I am running Spinrite on the disc right now, but I'm going to busy with the links you sent me. So I thought that this could be considered an extraction. Thanks I didn't loose all attachments, but I saved attachments to files on disk. If anyone can give me some advice, I would be very happy. My hard drive is a failure so I have to replace the drive, reload TB, and bring back the files. Since then, I've been nervous about back ups and import / export. I think the only thing that saved were the links to images that have been on it, and they were no longer on the net. Several years ago I 'save page as' with a few pages in Firefox and when I opened the once again the pages were nothing like the original. I expect that most people take for granted, but it's the first time I'm trying to back up the files. The answer does not expressly say that bindings and / or embedded images will be included with the saved emails. I expect that the procedure is the same, but that is the problem. but who was referring to the IMAP and I use pop.
